Train your temper

when you get mad, steps on how to control it

1. Take a break from the situation. If you're in an argument with someone, go to another part of your house. Your room or the backyard are good choices. Just say, "I want to be alone for a while so I can calm down."
2. Put yourself in a timeout. If you're feeling angry and think you need a timeout to calm down, don't wait for a parent to tell you — go ahead and take a timeout for yourself. Let your family know that when you're taking a timeout, they need to respect your space and leave you alone to calm yourself down. For kids old enough to do it for themselves, a timeout isn't a punishment: It's a cool-down. While you're sitting in your timeout chair, try this cool-down exercise: Put your hands under the seat of the chair and pull up while you count to 5. Then stretch your arms over your head. Take a nice deep breath and let it out. One kid who tried these steps said he used this time to think about the consequences — like getting in trouble if he let his temper go wild.
3. Get the anger out. We don't want you punching walls (or even punching pillows), but why not do a bunch of jumping jacks or dance around your room to your favorite music? Turn it up a little. If you go outside, run around or do cartwheels across the lawn. You also could pick up your pen and write it all down. What made you so upset? Keep writing until you've covered everything. If you don't like writing, just draw a picture that helps you express your feelings. Use strong colors and strong lines to show your strong feelings. You also can try the "Be a Volcano" exercise.
4. Learn to shift. You'll have to work hard to do this. This is where you get that puppy under control. The idea is to shift from a really angry mood to a more in-control mood. After you get some of the angry feelings out, you have to start thinking about other things. Sometimes, when people are angry, they're not really thinking clearly. They're just mad, mad, mad. Only angry thoughts are flying around their brains. A person might even say mean things to himself or herself, like "I'm such an idiot. I lost my temper again!" But you can replace those thoughts with better ones. For instance, you can say, "I lost my temper, but I'm going to get myself under control now." Instead of thinking of the person or situation you're angry with, think of something else. Think of something that will put you in a better mood.

How to Talk So People Will Listen

1. Stop talking
When someone talks incessantly, the listener naturally wants to tune out. Listening is an energy draining process, so forcing people to listen for long periods of time can wear them out. To motivate others, especially if you are the boss or key figure in a negotiation, be quiet and listen to others in order to discover what they are thinking. Stop talking long enough to capture the entire essence of what the other person is saying. Listen for the value the other person wants to add and incorporate that into your response.

2. Get to the point
Effective communicators don’t beat around the bush. They make their points clearly and accurately. To do so, start with a single sentence that notes your positive intent. Next, state the overall goal. Once you make your suggestion for action, follow it up with justifications. Often, but not always, ask for feedback on the idea and allow for brainstorming. Summarize all decisions and each person’s role with dated, specific, and measurable commitments.

3. Take a presentation skills class
By brushing up on your speaking skills, you can “even the playing field” with those successful but less talented colleagues who got where they are because of their excellent oratory skills. Most accomplished speakers take a class or review a book on presentation skills every few years to become more confident, persuasive, and effective.

4. Keep your tone neutral
During every conversation, speak to others as you want them to speak to you. Avoid sarcasm and other hostile behaviors. When you routinely humiliate, berate, or poke fun at others, they won’t listen to much of what you say or go the extra mile for you. Speak loud enough so that no one must strain to hear you, and speak with authority, so you’ll be perceived as more credible. As far as what to say, always remember to praise in public and criticize in private, each time addressing the behavior itself and not the person’s personality.

5. Reduce your speaking accent
When listening to someone who has a thick accent, people routinely miss 10-30 percent of what is said. If you are completely fluent in English but still have people asking you to repeat yourself, taking a presentation skills class that focuses on accent reduction is a wise career move. It’s your job as the speaker to be a clear communicator, especially since others won’t work to understand you. Additionally, listeners can become embarrassed when they have to continually ask you to repeat yourself. Instead, very often they’ll nod and smile, and then ask each other afterward, “What are we supposed to do?” But there is no reason to lose your accent entirely, as a charming accent differentiates you from the group and is part of your persona. However, with information and videotaped training, even a couple of days of coaching can improve comprehension by 80 percent.

Being an effective communicator is the best way to get others to listen to what you say. Since few people enjoy repeating themselves multiple times or the resulting consequences of not getting important messages understood, improve your communication skills so that listening is not a burden for others. The result will be that listeners will hear and comprehend you each time you speak.

Lessons & tips:
From a sheet of timber/MDF trace your t-shirt size on to it and cut it out. this is handy to put inside your tee when you position your graphics, keeps your t-shirt flat and easier to paint!

Takes a small bit of practice - using too much spray adhesive makes it more difficult to remove the PVC sheet.

tony hawk ..legendary skatboarders

Professional skateboarder Anthony Frank "Tony" Hawk was born on May 12, 1968, in Carlsbad, California, and is considered to be the most triumphant and prominent pioneers in vertical skateboarding. With his nickname the "Birdman," Tony has been a professional skateboarder since he was 15, and he is the first person in skateboarding history to pull off a 900. He has won six gold medals for skateboarding in the ESPN X-Games and is considered to be the best Pro in skateboarding history, entering 103 contests, winning 73 of them and placing second in 19. In 2000, he published his autobiography "Hawk: Occupation Skateboarder," and he has a video game series named after him. Besides skateboarding, he also has appeared in the films "The New Guy," "Haggard: The Movie" and "The Lords Of Dogtown," and has his own radio show on Sirius Satellite radio channel 28 Faction called "Tony Hawk's Demolition Radio." Tony has been married three times, and he has three sons Spencer, Keegen and Riley.
When Tony Hawk entered the professional skateboarding circuit in 1982 at the age of 14, few people in the world of extreme sports would have guessed he would become an icon; however, Hawk's decision to quit playing baseball -- which, considering his father's position as the president of his Little League chapter, was no easy choice -- ultimately landed Hawk at the top of the sport and allowed him to "retire" in 1999 at the ripe old age of 31. As Hawk rapidly gained credibility among his peers in the sport, he also received no small amount of attention from television and video producers. Interestingly enough, Hawk appeared as an extra (skateboarding, of course) in Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol in 1997; more importantly, however, his skill helped put the X Games into the mainstream. In addition to a wide variety of Hawk-inspired video games, the athlete has made countless appearances on ESPN and was featured in over 50 skateboarding documentaries and instructional titles during the '80s and '90s. Along the way, he became somewhat of a pop culture icon. MTV's Diary series featured Hawk as one of its subjects, and he was voted Best Male Athlete of the Year at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, beating out other famous sports figures including Tiger Woods and basketball star Shaquille O'Neal. In 2002, Hawk appeared alongside fellow skateboarder Bam Margera in Jackass: The Movie, and later that year could be seen in XXX with Vin Diesel. In 2004, Hawk hosted Tony Hawk's Secret Skatepark Tour, which chronicled his surprise appearances at skateparks throughout the United States.

blue whale

blue whale, a baleen whale, Balaenoptera musculus. Also called the sulphur-bottom whale and Sibbald's rorqual, it is the largest animal that has ever lived. Blue whales have been known to reach a length of 100 ft (30.5 m) and to weigh as much as 120 tons; average length is about 75 ft (23 m). The blue whale is slate blue in color and has a dorsal fin. It is toothless and has fringed baleen, or whalebone, plates in its mouth, which act as a food strainer. As water is expelled from the whale's mouth, plankton is trapped behind the strainer. The neck of the blue whale has 80 to 100 conspicuous furrows called ventral grooves, which alternately expand and contract as the animal takes in and expels water. The blue whale is cosmopolitan in distribution. In summer it inhabits polar seas, feeding in the water of melting icepacks; in winter it migrates to warmer latitudes, occasionally reaching the equator. Mating occurs at the end of winter, with a single calf born every second or third year, after a gestation period of 10 to 11 months. The calf is nursed for 6 months and reaches puberty in about 3 years. Blue whales may live 100 years or more. Because of extensive whaling, their numbers have been reduced from an estimated 400,000 to about 12,000, and they are listed as endangered. They are classified in the phylum Chordata, subphylum Vertebrata, class Mammalia, order Cetacea, family Balaenopteridae

Hip-hop style from the perspective of rapper Moe of W.A.F.

Hip-hop fashion is full of different colors, styles, and creativity. In the hip-hop world this is called flavor. To have flavor, you have to have the latest fashion.

Footwear ranges from the ever popular Nikes, to Timberland, and the latest fashion of Wallabee Clarks. The demand for the latest sneakers is so great that they even have a release date on the most popular ones. No matter the price, people are going to buy it to be on the point. Timberland are the most common footwear in the hip-hop community. They come in different flavors to coincide with your clothes. You can wear them with anything from shorts to khakis.

Now hip-hop gear comes in a wide variety. The big names like Versace, Tommy Hilfiger, Polo by Ralph Lauren, Nautica and Guess are the best known. If you don't wear what everyone else is wearing, you'll be considered a bama. A bama is a southern word meaning "from the backwoods," or uncool-- it's someone who can't dress.

Nowadays fashion is based on who is talking about what he wears in a video. Rappers like Jay-Z, and the late Notorious B.I.G. talked about Versace in their rhymes. Just mentioning the name on their albums or whenever the rhyme is like advertisement. I wouldn't be surprised if they were getting paid for it. Tommy Hilfiger is also represented fully by artists such as Raekwan and Ghostface from the Wu-tang Klan. They also put the Wallabee Clarks up on popular demand.

Which foods cause food allergy?

The eight most common food allergens—milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, wheat, fish, and crustacean shellfish—cause most food allergic reactions. However, many other foods have been identified as allergens for some people, such as certain fruits or vegetables and seeds. Most children with food allergies to milk, eggs, soy, and wheat will outgrow their allergy. However, allergy to peanuts, tree nuts, and fish usually persists. Shellfish allergies often develop during later childhood or adulthood, and the most common food allergy among adults is shellfish. Peanuts and tree nuts account for most of the severe cases of food allergy.

Eating chocolate every day is bad to the bone

Chocolate is bad for you! It will make your teeth rot!

Chocolate is good for you! It has natural compounds that benefit the heart and the brain!

With all the back and forth, it's about time for chocolate to be bad for us again. According to a new study out of the University of Western Australia, women who eat chocolate every day end up with lower bone density in the hips, neck, tibia, and heel, making them more prone to fracture.

Chocolate seems to affect the body's ability to hold onto calcium. Chocolate contains oxalate, a poisonous acid, which can reduce the calcium absorption; it also contains sugar, which has been linked to calcium excretion.

Maybe this means we should stop eating that nasty extra dark "healthy" chocolate and go back to "milk" chocolate. Milk has calcium, right?

Or maybe we shouldn't eat chocolate every day.

4. The first impression counts: You only have one chance to make a good first impression, so make the most of it.

5. Keep your reputation: Your whole business hinges on your reputation and good name.

7. Plan to be successful: A good plan will help you increase your chances of success if you follow it. It is your roadmap.

8. Be innovative:

Good Knowledge - Key to Success

It is believed that at least 90% of all small business failures can be traced to the fact that the business owners had little or no knowledge about how to run a successful business.

Obtaining this knowledge can involve you (as the business owner) taking a small business course or reading up on all the areas involved in starting, running and growing a business. One of the most important things you have to do when you are desirous of starting a business is to calculate the feasibility of your idea.

You need to do a feasibility assessment and if this shows that the business has no likelihood of making a profit, then it has to be set aside.

A small business owner can avoid many mistakes and he/she will not know about this without that knowledge. Good business knowledge plays such an important role in determining success or failure that it would be a good idea for the government to bring in a simple registration process, where no one can start a business without passing a very basic exam on how to set up and run ...

BICYCLE RIM

Instead its structure that consist a lot of spoke that carry a load, the material that use to make rims also important. Rim first made from wood. It is very uncomfortable and easy to break when put a heavy load on it. Nowadays, the rim is created with many type of material. Those are steels, aluminium, and also carbon.

Steels..
Steel is heavy metal, so lot energy need to paddle the bicycle. Thus also if damaged can be difficult to pull back into shape. But because it's so strong it is quite difficult to bend in the first place and steel is cheaper than all the other materials. It is easy to rusted

Aluminum..
Aluminum has greater use of bicycle rim. It can be made in any shape and profile, flat or aero. Aluminum also has light weight compare to steels. It has resistant on been rusted. Aluminum is easy to manufacture. Greater stiffness in an aluminum wheel requires the use of more material, adding weight and producing a rougher ride.

Carbon..
Carbon suitable for bicycle rim. It usually used at racing bicycle because its weight is light. Carbon's higher tensile modulus increases rim stiffness, which reduces power loss as the rider's energy is transmitted to the rear wheel.

Five Skincare Tips For Everyone

Few people go through life with no blemishes or skincare woes. The marketplace is flooded with cosmetic companies that claim to have a product for everything and everyone - and all at a hefty price to the consumer. But good skincare does not have to be costly and time consuming. Here are just a few tips to help with occasional cosmetic problems.

1. Do you have a painful pimple just under the surface that is threatening to erupt soon? You can actually dissolve' it by pressing on it, rubbing in a small, circular motion. This will dissipate the clogged dirt and oils, spreading them over a greater surface area, to be discharged through perspiration and eliminated with frequent washing. This press-and-dissolve method works best when done several times for a couple of minutes each time.

2. Overnight eruptions can be embarrassing as well as extremely uncomfortable. If there is no tip, apply heat. Once the blemish has discharged, cleanse the area well and, using a cotton ball or swab, dab on some rubbing alcohol. This will dry it up faster and help to close the pore. A slice of cucumber will help to reduce the redness. Corn starch also works well to lessen the redness, further drying the area. Keep a small stick of blemish cover up handy to blend in the area with the rest of your skin, but be sure to use it sparingly so that the entire area looks natural and not made up.

3. Puffy eyes are common during colds or after weeping. A couple of cucumber slices placed on your eyes for about twenty minutes while you lie down will take care of the problem. No cucumbers in your refrigerator? No problem. Just use a cool washcloth wrung out well and place it over your eyes instead. The difference will be remarkable and leave you feeling refreshed.

4. Chapped lips are very common, especially in the winter when everyone's skin dries out due to harsh weather conditions. It is tempting to lick your lips when they feel dry and sore; but doing so will make chapped lips worse. Instead, use a lip balm that does not contain alcohol, such as Burt's Bees Lip Balm. A good lip balm will soothe and help to heal chapped lips, and will be a preventive measure against further damage. Try to avoid using products that are heavy and thick; lighter, creamier products, made with natural ingredients, absorb better.

5. Most of us need to moisturize our skin to maintain a healthy appearance. With so many moisturizers on the market today, choosing the right one can be difficult. Dermatologists agree on one that is right for everyone, even those with very sensitive skin: Vaseline. In order to best reap the benefits, apply a small amount of Vaseline to your skin immediately after washing in very warm water, as hot as you can comfortably endure. Your skin will absorb the Vaseline, leaving you feeling greaseless, soft and smooth. It is a terrific moisturizer and an inexpensive way to fight wrinkles.

Three Steps to Choosing a Career

Step One

Figure out what makes you tick by asking yourself:

  • What sparks and holds my interest?
  • What do I do well?
  • What kind of personality do I have?
  • What's really important to me?

Take any career-related tests your college's career center might offer. Or think of times when you've enjoyed and excelled at a job, internship, class or aspect of your personal life. A great book to help with this process is Do What You Are by Paul Tieger and Barbara Barron-Tieger.

Step Two

Learn about your career options. Rarely do you have the opportunity to take a class in college that shows you what the work world is like. You have to take the initiative to explore it yourself. See if your college's career office has a library of books describing different kinds of work, the typical qualifications needed and the salary ranges for various occupations. Your college's career counselors should be able to help. Also, talk to people through informational interviews, and try out careers by shadowing and taking internships or part-time jobs.

Step Three

Sort out your priorities. After you've spent time on steps one and two, some of your strong preferences may start to emerge. You might learn you don't want to be in a corporate environment. That rules out investment banking. Or you might find that your interest in art wouldn't sustain a career, so you cross those types of jobs off your list. Whatever it is that you learn about yourself, you're making important discoveries that will help you choose a good career when the time comes.

Most importantly, keep it all in perspective: You don't have to live forever with any career decision you make now. Most people change careers several times during their lives, so the first job you choose right after college probably won't be your career 40 or 50 years from now -- unless you want it to be. So don't put too much pressure on yourself to make the perfect decision, and always keep your eyes open.

How to Excuse Yourself from Unfinished Homework

1.Say sorry really loudly.
2.Finish as much homework as possible. Make it look like you tried to do it.
3.Tell the teacher that you emailed it into school, but weren't sure about how attachments work. You must however, send your teacher an email, and attach a document with nonsensical random symbols, etc. for this one to work.
4.If your teacher appreciates honesty go to him/her as soon as the class starts. Act maturely and tell them that you fully understand the importance of the homework but were unable to have it done before class. Your mature behavior will make the teacher think you had more important things to do. Rather then tell them about what you were doing the day before just let them guess.
5.Say you honestly didn't understand it and attempted to come in for help, but couldn't find her. (If asked what time, make sure you know a reasonable time when she is likely to leave.) Lastly, put the blame on him or her by saying you did indeed turn it in and act extremely aggravated by their loss of your work, (this must be accompanied by an eye-opening shocked look followed by a deep frown) This, last one takes scruples, however, because it might change the teacher's opinion of you in the long term, but it does have a moderate chance to get excused.

Before You Make That Date

Dating is one of the most anticipated and feared of all teen social encounters. What can you do to make sure your dating life runs smoothly? Consider these seven things before making or accepting a date.

1.Know how you feel about the other person.
Nothing ruins a date faster than misread signals. Before asking somebody out or accepting an invitation you should honsetly examine how you really feel. Are you genuinely attracted to this person? Could you see yourself in a relationship with this person? Do you feel comfortable being with this person one-on-one? If you can't ever see yourself as being anything but friends, don't make the date.

2.Find out how the other person feels about you.
Many an embarassing moment has been born from misread signals or wishful thinking. Nothing is worse than putting yourself out there only to be rejected. Before asking somebody out find out if they are interested in you. Ask around to see if they already like you, think they could like you, or only see you as a pal. If they really only want to be your friend, don't push for more.

3.Suggest an activity you will both enjoy.
The whole idea behind going out on a date is having fun. You want to spend time with somebody who interests you and at the same time find out if you could connect on a deeper level. Nothing will ruin this faster than choosing an activity that only one of you enjoys. Ask your potential date what he/she likes to do and find something you both like, then plan the date accordingly.

4.Consider going out as part of a group.
If your parents don't want you going out one-on-one dates, or if it you feel uncomfortable heading out alone, consider the safety of group dating. This can be a good choice for the get to know you dates because it takes some of the pressure off and lets you be more relaxed... more yourself. Choose friends you trust who will make your date feel comfortable and don't forget you are still on a date.

5.Be clear on the financial situation.
If you ask somebody out and intend to pay their way make sure this is clear. If your finances are tight make sure they don't mind going dutch. If you accept a date always bring enough money to pay your own way, never assume that your date will foot the bill. The "who will pay" question can turn even the hottest date cold - make sure this is clear well in advance.

6.Make sure that the date is OK with both sets of parents.
If your parents don't want you dating yet, respect that and make plans to go out in a group. If the person you are interested in is not yet allowed to date, don't suggest that you sneak around. If it is really important for the two of you to head out alone talk it out with the parents who object. Otherwise respect the rules set out by the parents and stick to hanging out together with friends.

7.Don't have higher than life expectations.
If you expect the date to be something out of a Mandy Moore movie then you are only setting yourself up for disappointment. Be realistic; you are getting to know one another in a whole new way and one or both of you may not want to take things further after the date is over. If you have realistic expectations you are more likely to relax, have fun and be happy with the way the date turns out.

How to Select the Right Perfume

Step1 Research your personal taste in fragrance. Do you like to smell lemons, vanilla, roses, musk?

Step2 Ask the woman wearing the intriguing scent of freesia what her perfume is called.

Step3 Think of fragrances the same way you think of music: top, middle and base notes. Note that a top note is what you smell first; citrus and light spices are the first smells to evaporate.

Step4 Focus on your favorite smells and take that knowledge to the fragrance counter, where a skillful salesperson will lead you in the right direction. Clean linens, tea, grapefruit, citronella candles, vanilla beans, or even rainwater will be hints.

Step5 Apply a scent and wait 10 minutes. Remember to spray on pulse points, where skin is warmest, for best diffusion of scent.

Step6 Sniff the test spot again. Still like it? Chances are you'll like it tomorrow, but keep in mind that as the top and middle notes evaporate, you're left with the heaviest oils.

Step7 Ask for a wrapped package when you make your decision.

teaching children to think

Thinking is a skill. It is something that is learned and developed. In most cases this skill is taken for granted especially where children are concerned.
The ability to think is looked at as something that a child either possesses or doesn’t. But it is not as straight forward as you might at first believe. Thinking is a tool, and it is something that can be sharpened.
With children it is very easy to get them thinking as they are at a stage in their life where that is what they do most of the time, so why not give them things to think about that will benefit their learning and personal development.
By exposing your child to stimulating sights, people and experiences, they will begin to ask themselves questions like ‘Why does it look like that?’ or ‘How does he do that?’ This kind of thinking is great exercise for the brain. As your child searches for answers, he or she will begin to explore the many possibilities of how these things came to be.
As they find answers to these questions, they will also cover answers to other questions at the same time. This ability to answer many things may then make them appear to be more intelligent than another child the same age. But the fact is that the other children the same age have the same thinking ability, they simply have not had the same opportunity to explore their minds.
It is quite possible to help a child to develop their thinking without even going to great efforts. Questioning things such as, ‘Why is it there? What is its purpose?’ gives an example to the child of how this questioning can help to understand things better.
Creative exercises are invaluable in expanding children’s thinking abilities. It gives them the opportunity to explore imagined possibilities. Through an artistic work a child can create something unknown or explore something they don’t fully understand or even use their own emotions to produce their work from.
Creative activity therefore offers a forum for thinking and can easily be used as a tool for developing a child’s thinking. It has the perfect ingredients simply by not being there until there is a finished product. That product could be music, visual or a performed piece of work. Whichever way it is represented, the final product needs to go through a process of thought before it can materialise.
Creative thinking is a most useful tool in life and many people consider it as a high form of intellect as it offers the ability to solve problems and to create what does not yet exist, sometimes even from a product that is unknown.
For people who are used to only thinking in terms of what has always existed, it takes a lot of effort to let go of these set ways, and the best way to tackle this problem is through art where thoughts can be explored without consequence.

7 ways to reduce stress

Stress is often the end result when people react to certain events. In fact, it's the way of the body to handle challenges and meet tough situations with stamina, heightened alertness, strength, and focus.
Enough amount of stress can be good. But, stress overloads are not good. For example, small amount of stress regarding an upcoming examination can inspire you to study but too much stress can entirely make your concentration poor. Too intense or chronic pressures or troubles that are handled alone can result to stress overloads.
The stress overload signs are panic or anxiety attacks, constant feeling of being pressured, hurried, and hassled, moodiness and irritability, physical symptoms including chest pain, headaches, or stomach problems, sleeping problems, allergic reaction like asthma or eczema, depression or sadness, and too much drinking, smoking, doing drugs, or overeating.
What are some ways to decrease stress?
1. Be realistic. Nobody is perfect. Never expect other people to be perfect. It will just heighten your stress. For example; you are doing a difficult school project, it is much better if you ask help from other people to lessen your stress.
2. Decide properly on excessive scheduling. Cut down some activities which are not very important to you.
3. Never forget to relax. Relaxation response is one of be the best and natural stress antidotes. Try doing simple breathing exercises in stressful situations.
4. Always have a good night's sleep. This can keep your mind and body in good shape and prepare to handle negative stressors.
5. Always maintain a positive outlook, thoughts, and attitude. A healthy dosage of optimism helps in making the most of stressful circumstances.
6. Good body treatment. Regular exercise and proper diet helps in proper stress management instead of running or eating fast food or junk food, and turning to substance abuse.
7. Solve little problems. This can build your self-confidence and control.
These ways are simple yet can help you manage stress successfully. But, skills on stress-management work best if regularly used.

perfect education

There are many ideas as to what constitutes an ideal education. A number of factors come together to make an ideal education. Parents have to be concerned with the education of their children. Teachers must be completely devoted to their students' educations. Students, parents and teachers are the key elements in a model education. A good relationship among the three parties is essential to a good education. Parents are an important ingredient to the perfect education. Parents who aren't involved in their children's education only impede the efforts made by teachers and students to create a good education. These parents are oftentimes uninterested with their children's education as a whole. To achieve perfection in the educational system, parents have to take an active role in that education. Parents who don't include themselves in their children's education aren't always informed about the student's progress, aren't aware of the current curriculum, and don't have any idea of the student's strengths and weaknesses in school. An involved parent is informed and sometimes included in the decision-making process. Parents who take an active role are kept informed of the progress made by their children. The parents know the curriculum and assist the children with their nightly studies, and can discuss their children's feelings about education. Devoted teachers are extremely important to a perfect education. The teacher is just about the most important of the three parties necessary to create a model education. Teachers have the responsibility of forming good relationships with both students and parents. Teachers must also be able to effectively communicate with both parents and students in order to ensure that there are no misconceptions or confusions about the children's educations. A good teacher is aware of any special needs that certain children may have and is able to help those children adjust to the curriculum accordingly. Although it may seem obvious, teachers need to be patient and empathetic when dealing with his or her students. The vast majority of teachers already possess these qualities. Many students, however, have complained of teachers that appear to have "no time" for their students. Teachers with an unenthusiastic attitude relay a negative feeling back to their students and that can create problems in the classroom. As mentioned earlier though, people usually won't become teachers if they are uninterested in providing an excellent education to their students. The final "ingredient" necessary to creating an ideal education is the student. Students need to be inquisitive, enthusiastic, and eager to learn in the classroom. Students who like and feel comfortable with the education they are receiving are more interested in going to school regularly and in continuing their education after graduating from high school. Students need to be encouraged by themselves as well as by teachers and parents. Students have the responsibility of completing their assigned projects on time, being attentive and willing to learn in the class, and they must govern their own study habits and methods of working. A student has to have his priorities straight so that he knows not to neglect his studies. An ideal education cannot be achieved with one or two "pieces" of the puzzle missing. All three "pieces" -- parents, teachers and students -- must be in place in order for the puzzle to be complete. The three components work together. For instance, a teacher and a student alone cannot work effectively toward the goal of a perfect education. The child's parent (or parents) must be in communication with the teacher to know how the child is doing academically. The parent also must communicate with the child in order to know how the child feels he or she is doing and to know how the child feels about his or her progress. The child, the parent, and the teacher must work together in order to create and maintain a perfect educational system.
